A Time to Believe

A Time to Believe

"There is a time for everything under the sun."

John 10:24-30

24 The Jews gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ tell us plainly.”   25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father’s name speak for me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice, I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, no one can snatch them out my Father’s hand.  30 I and the Father are one.”

At the time in which I am writing this to you all, I have already taken a long hard look at myself and the world around me. The following words will reflect not only the mirrored image I am holding of myself but also the visual images I see around my family and me in the midst of this world.

Before I begin with a detailed description of the world around me I have to ask the question, “what do I believe is happening to me as I live out my life in this world?” The answer to that question may be obvious to those who know me closely, but no one really knows better than God and me, as to what my inner world is comprised of.   What I am about to share with you about myself, only a limited few know, so should the question arise, “should this information be shared with others,” well,  I will leave that to your discretion. In fact it is my intention, that you share this testimony to as many as will read or listen.   To help answer the question above, I had to take a long hard look inside and ask myself, “What are your beliefs?” My response should be of no surprise to those who know me well. I can only respond to that question one way, “I believe in God.” Furthermore, “I believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as Lord and Savior of my life and my soul.” The next question is asked to specify my exact belief, of who Christ is. I ask myself, “Who do you believe Jesus Christ is and what did he do to make you believe this about him?” Jesus Christ is known by many names but I believe, ultimately that he is one part of the three part God head. In short, he is not just the Son of God but he is God. Jesus paid the costly price for my sin by dying on the Cross and established this new hope for all by becoming the first fruit that rose from the grave in the resurrection of life. He truly accomplished his Father’s will in his physical form. I mentioned earlier that God has three forms that make up the God head but let me elaborate further. The God head is comprised of; “The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Let me be even more specific what this means to me. “God is a Father figure, God is a Son figure and God is a Spirit figure.” Sorry ladies, but the only way God makes reference to being a Mother figure, is by comparing his unfailing love for all his children, to a mother which loves hers. In which we all know, in most cases, this is an irrefutable fact of life. Here is where you ladies score big time. Your love for your children is like the glue that holds the entire family together. So in other words, “The Triune Godhead and body (His children), is completely held together with a mother’s type of love.” That puts a whole new meaning on the phrase, “No body loves me like Momma does.”

Aside from all the cute little catch phrases on Momma’s love, I have to say, “I believe this is a pure and graceful, more forgiving kind of love and can only be perceived through a mother’s heart.” As a dad in this world, I can only imagine and attempt in a short sighted manner, to compare my love for my children with their mothers love.   We all know Momma keeps the home and children, and Dad brings home the bacon and his smelly shoes. Seriously though, everyone knows Momma’s love is also reinforced by Daddy’s hand. This to, is a form of love, that not to many people agree with anymore. That is a child has to be taught sometimes through tough love.  “Do I believe in spanking a child?” “Well that’s an easy one.” If a kid is acting bad and has been warned at least three times well then that child may need corporal punishment. I mean, if time-outs aren’t working then you should consider spanking the child on the bottom. Only, “please make sure you are not angry at the time when using this form of punishment.” At this, you may ask, “Why would anyone use violence to teach a child to be good?” My response to that question can only be answered in question form, as the following. “Why would God allow one of his children to continue living a life without stern consequences, knowing they would not only spoil their lives but further corrupt the world with their wicked practices?” I mean the basic question should not be, “why are you so harsh to the child who naturally misbehaves,” but, “why aren’t you doing your part as a parent to naturally discipline your child, who instinctively misbehaves?”

In order to protect him or her from becoming spoiled and later possibly corrupt, you must use tough love, a Father’s kind of love, which carries a reasonable amount of judgment on the child for mistakes that could be prevented. We all know there are three types of love, Agape, Phileo, and Eros. That’s Godly, Brotherly, and Romantic/Sensual love. Although God’s love is unconditional in the sense that he can love anyone in spite of what mistakes a person may have committed, God is a righteous God whose mercy and grace can only be attained from repentant individuals who believe in His Son. So what are the conditions that would put you in a position for a certain judgment of God? Although God loves unconditionally, He can not allow sin to be present in his kingdom. Therefore God allows mankind to make up there own minds, as to whom or what they will serve. “Are you a good man?” “Are you a good woman?” “Do you help others by fulfilling their needs, and do you believe that is enough to save you from certain punishment for your sins?” The most important question to answer is, “do you believe in God?” There is only one God that can save you through his Son Jesus Christ. There is no other name under Heaven that can save you.

Acts 4:12 KJV Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved .

So the underlying question here is, “do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?”

We have now arrived at a crossroads in this discussion. The following questions will help determine what direction we should pursue next. When will you come to believe in God? Are you an atheist, I feel sorry for you. Are you an agnostic? It’s time to believe in Jesus Christ. I pray for all who are lost in this world and who may be blind to God’s Truth. If you could read my testimony as well as many countless Christian’s testimonies in this world, you would soon discover why we have decided to follow Jesus.  We believe mostly because he has revealed His Love for us in our hearts. There are many ways God has revealed Himself to me as well as, many countless others. Jesus loves you too. Behold, God is knocking on your heart’s door right now, this is, “A Time to Believe.”

Revelation 3:20 KJV Behold , I stand at the door, and knock : if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV (For he saith , I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold , now is the accepted time; behold , now is the day of salvation.)

We are living in the last days no matter what age you are right now. No one knows when the Lord will come. The important thing to keep in mind is, that he is coming and we need to be ready. Don’t let this world rule you. No pleasure in this world is worth giving up your soul for. Stop coveting. This life was never meant to be your eternal home. Heaven is where the Lord is and you can have that in your heart right now.

Ask Jesus to forgive you for all your sins, to come into your heart and to save you. He will do it, if you are sincere and remorseful for your disbelief. It takes time to heal as well as to grow, so his grace is sufficient for you. Take time to read the Holy Bible and go to a Church where you can be taught the Word of God. You need to fellowship with other Believers as it helps to get their wisdom and their friendship. May the Lord our God fill you with His Holy Spirit and Truth, and may you be blessed as you grow in Him.

Again this is, “A Time to Believe.”

Cerebral Wars

Cerebral Wars
The Battle in the Mind

The mind is by far the most widely utilized function in our bodies.  It generally controls our thoughts, actions, voluntary and involuntary body mechanics.  The brain is known throughout medical and scientific professionals to be a complex, calculative, manipulative and a cognitive piece of carnal sofware/hardware.  What they do not know is it's reason for being.  In other words, what sustains it and what is the purpose for it's existence.  Outside of the brain's natural instinct to survive, there must be a plan and purpose for living.

What? Our brains are made up of three main sections: the forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain.
These three parts of the brain work together in most cases to perform all thought processes, voluntary and involuntary movements of the body including making audible sounds, for some like  sasquatch, but for most as cognitive speech or hearing, as well as, seeing etc... you get the point.

How? If you know the defining factors as to what are brains consists of, then there must be an explanation for how are brains function.  The way science would answer this question is through the anatomy and physiology make up of the brain. They can in great detail explain how it all works from birth until death of a person.  What agnostic/athiests scientists views portrays is that our brains originated from a single cell amoeba which combined together in a primordial soup with the rest of the elements present at the time to form an entire living being.  It is my opinion and belief that the entire human body was designed by an Intelligent Designer, a Creator.  Idealistic scientist do not know how it all works but only that it works.  The Judean Christian view is that the entire physical world including the human body is made up by a governing Spirit. e.g. "God is a Spirit; God said let there be...and it was so."  What this means is that everything we experience in this world through our five senses is not actual reality in the most eternal sense of the word, real life.  Our actions though do come from our forethoughts.  more later.........

WHY?  Everything we see in this world can relate to living and dying as well as a desire to survive, every living being seeks contentment in life and death.  Think about it, our most deepest emotions are rooted and activated in not only in survival, but in fullfilment for oneself.  According to science, your five senses are controlled by your brain and without your brain you would not recognize anything by touch, taste, smell, sight or hearing.  You simply would not be able to tell your loved one how goodlooking they are, how they smell, how they sound, how good they feel in your arms (during a long and most caressive embrace) and how wonderful the gum tasted that you shared between each other; and so you can forget hugs and kisses, they would not be possible without the brain.
Among the many functions of the brain their is intelligence, learning and memory, so even if you were to be allowed to experience any or all senses, without cognitive reasoning activated by the cerebrum, you would not know why you have ate your lunch, that you actually enjoyed eating a meal, nor would you recall you had a meal much less have a favorite meal....goodluck remembering to please your spouse. Well, some guys are missing that functionality all together by choice.  Our memory is vital to our basic survival as well as to our learning needs.  We learn and we use the information that we learned to make choices and recall the choices we have made to extend our knowledge and promote our future actions.  Our decisions, portray our character and a way to gage what we do in life, again both for survival and for our benefit.  Our character really stands out when we are able to care not just for ourselves, but for the well being of others. To answer why our brains are, we have to ask what are brains are and how does our brains manipulate our decisions, And equally important we must ask the questions when and where did our brains and lives come from.

The origins of life are not easily explained as some would have you believe.  According to the Darwinian theory, we evolved.  I'm sorry, but I don't believe in all that monkey business.  Visit my website for my detailed reasoning on this subject. http://www.thesession2k.com/Mad_Info/Scientific_Evidences_for_Creation.doc

So the question remains, why do I exist? What people really need to ask themselves, is there more than one type of exsistence or reality.  As a born again Christian believer, I would respond with an emphatical, "yes indeed!"  There is a spiritual and eternal realm as well as a physical one.  So how is our brains impacted by these realities?  We are spirit, body and soul.  The spirit is also known as the breath of life (spirit from God).  The body is the human body.  The Soul is the mind of man and it is also known as the conscience or  psyche of mankind.  Together, the spirit, body & soul makes us an individual person, created in the image of God.

Who? So who are we as a species?  We are God's creation and we are here to serve God.  Our sole purpose in life, is to live in God's will.  We get to decide for ourselves who we want to be. We have the choice to believe in God (YHWH) & His Son, "Yeoshua." (Jesus) or not.  Moreover, there are eternal consequences for this spiritual struggle.

Where? This great struggle takes place in our minds, hence the title of this journal, "Cerebral Wars."
